Standing at a height of 5'6", Quistis Trepe has straight, blonde hair worn in a most peculiar style: two thick sections are kept to the front of her shoulders, while the rest is clipped into a flipped up ponytail. Resplendent blue eyes, light skin and pale pink lips combine to form a generally icy countenance further emphasized by her clinical, impersonal manner. She possesses an athletic figure graced with womanly curves, and her legs especially are long and lithe. Though she appears to be in her late teens, she carries herself with the impeccable posture and easy self-assurance of someone much older. The peachy-pink sweater she most commonly sports has no sleeves and zips up the front, occasionally bearing her flat stomach. A matching skirt extends just past her knees and falls over a sturdy pair of combat boots. A pair of maroon sleeves and black gloves complete her daily ensemble. Every now and then, Quistis can be seen wearing a pair of silver-rimmed glasses.

Forced into a lot of responsibility very early in her youth, Quistis has to balance the every day struggle of being a teenager with the obligations of being an adult. As a result, she has trouble forming relationships with people her own age -- it's hard to be a friend when you've also got to be an instructor/administrator type. She spends a lot of time maintaining a cool exterior for the benefit of everyone else, but inside she's as confused as any girl her age. Though she's most typically calm and rational, at times her self-doubt gets the best of her, causing her to lose her composure. Overall, however, she's a responsible woman adept at finding the best solution to a problem.

Quistis's weapon of choice is a whip. She's an adept magic user, with a predilection for ice magic. In a pinch, Quistis can summon a special brand of magic known as Blue Magic, which, with some luck, she can find imbued into mysterious objects.

Though she has no physical weaknesses unique to her character, Quistis has enough emotional baggage to make up for it. She absolutely doesn't understand herself, and she's riddled with self doubt. She's sort of a wildcard in that admists high stress situations, she'll either exceed expectations or break down. She's also prone to "falling in love", just another by product of the fact that she really doesn't understand her own emotions.

Though her memory's mostly fuzzy, landing in Paixao without use of her GFs has restored at least a few of her memories: she recalls an orphanage. She must have been adopted, and when things didn't work out, she enrolled in Balamb Garden at the age of 10 with intentions of becoming a SeeD. Thanks to her intelligence and maturity, she became SeeD's youngest graduate at the age 15. Two years later she set another precedent by becoming Garden's youngest instructor. After a SeeD exam gone just a bit awry, she was called in by Garden Staff for a meeting, but she never quite made it, as the door to Paixao chose that moment to suck her in.
